Postdoc Position on Environmental Justice in India

The Menno Simons College of the Canadian Mennonite University and the Department of Environmental Studies & Sciences of the University of Winnipeg jointly welcome applications for a Postdoctoral Associate on 'The Imapcts of Green Courts in India'

The 12-month postdoctoral position is available for an experienced interdisciplinary scholar interested in conducting research on environmental justice in India, with a focus on development decisions affecting water resources. The successful candidate will join an international project involving an interdisciplinary team of researchers from Canada and India, supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships Program. The goal of the project is to understand the impacts of the decisions of Green Benches of state High Courts and regional National Green Tribunals on marginalized communities in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Gujarat.
