Flights and Transport
There are several airlines serving Sofia International Airport directly from various European cities, e.g. Bulgaria Air (direct flight from Berlin Tegel), Easyjet, Hemus Air, British Airways.

Ryanair does also serve Plovdiv Airport directly, e.g. from London Stansted. Yet you have to check for the schedule.

Sofia International Airport is two hours away from Plovdiv by car. We will arrange a shuttle service between Sofia International Airport and the Park Hotel Imperial in Plovdiv at the start of the conference on September 13th and 14th and after the end of the conference on September 17th and 18th. During this periods we arrange a shuttle service which is included in the conference fee.
Therefore, we would like to ask you to provide us with your flight arrival and departure details when you register for the conference via the conference website – before the 15th of July 2011.

You can easily walk from the Conference Hotel to the Conference Venue – Agricultural University of Plovdiv – (within 15-20 minutes). You can also walk to the old historic town of Plovdiv and the main shopping streets within 15-20 minutes.

Taxi: A taxi from the hotel to e.g. the old town takes 5 minutes and will cost you about 3 Bulgarian Lev, which corresponds to 1,50 Euro.

Exchange Rates

10 Bulgarian Lev (BGN) correspond roughly to 5 Euro or 7 US Dollar.
