Commons Impact Story Outline
- Country:
- Type of resource(s) involved (e.g. forests, rangelands, water, etc.)
- What change happened to:
- When did this happen (over what period)? Stories must refer to the last 20 years.
- What were key factors that made this happen?
- Who was involved (what organizations or key individuals)?
- Who benefitted from these changes?
- What was the connection with IASC that facilitated this change? (for example, if attending an IASC conference and field trip was influential in showing that this could be done).
- Were you personally involved?
- - Strengthen rights to the commons?
- - Improve livelihoods?
- - Enhance sustainable management?
- - Preserve traditional knowledge?
- - Facilitate common action?
- - Develop or create new commons? (digital information commons, Cultural Commons, Genetic Resource Commons, Scientific Research Commons, Intellectual property and Open Source Licensing).
- - Apply the commons theory in economy?
- - Empower women, young people and others?
