We are inviting scholars to participate in a panel titled “Governing Environmental Risks and Vulnerabilities in Cities” to be held at the ICARUS III (Initiative for Climate Adaptation Research and Understanding through the Social Sciences) meeting at Columbia University in New York City from May 17-20, 2012. The conference is organized jointly by Columbia University, the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and the University of Michigan. Cities around the world are developing new forms of governing social-environmental risks and vulnerabilities associated with climate change.
