A brief note on the IASC 2011 European Meeting

Here’s one of the best reasons to be a member of IASC: we have wonderful conferences!

In September, the European meeting was held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, a lovely city with a charming historic old town and gardens. The conference venue was the Agricultural University of Plovdiv, which provided excellent conference facilities only a short walk from our hotel. Scholars from 21 countries met to discuss “Shared Resources in a Rapidly Changing World”; one focus was on the special challenges of resource management regimes in post-socialist countries.
